Dental ImplantsWhat are dental implants?
Dental Implants are small titanium cylinders that are surgically inserted in the jaw to replace a missing tooth root. A porcelain crown is then attached to the implant.

What are implants for dentures?
If you have dentures that are loose and unstable, hurt your gum and prevent you from chewing your food properly, dental implants may be the answer you are looking for. This process can be done in one day by inserting miniature titanium implants and adjusting your dentures to fit over the implants forming a stable base that is both comfortable and securely in place allowing you to speak and eat with complete confidence.

Dental implants are strong and durable and typically last for years with proper oral care. Implants are an excellent way to improve or restore your smile!

Why choose dental implants?

  • Feel proud of your smile again.
  • Be more confident when speaking withothers.
  • Enhance your facial features.
  • Improve your ability to chew and digest your food.
  • Fix bite problems caused by teeth shifting into missing tooth space.
  • Support a bridge or partial denture by making them more secure.

The dental implant process

Our first step is to take X-rays and make molds of your jaw and teeth in order to determine the condition of your bone, gum tissue and spaces.  After numbing the area, we surgically implant a post and anchor into the bone, which is allowed to heal and integrate itself onto the bone. Once you’ve had time to heal, we create the crown portion of your artificial tooth and then fit it to the post portion of the anchor.

After the area is completely healed, your artificial tooth and implant is secure, stable and comfortable.  As always, proper diet, good oral hygiene and regular dental visits are the keys to extending the life of your dental implant and your new beautiful, natural-looking smile.
